Line Item Veto:Why Now?
Why Now? Line Item Veto comes up every so often...as the tug of war between the congress and the executive plays out. Bush has not used the veto once in his term in office. He's threatened to over the Dubai ports deal. What up, George?
This president is so tight on PR that you know if this is out there is a reason for it. In marketing, it's called Market Signaing - seeding the press with information to condition the market. What is he up to now? "The president, who has not vetoed any legislation during five years in office, asked Congress in his State of the Union address to give him line-item veto power." (Yahoo here)
