Spector's NSA Concerns

Who's Sorry Now?

Republican Senator Arlen Spector is not exactly sorry, but he is making interesting comments about the whole NSA flap that are worth noting. He, of course, now risks being further branded by the right-wing MSM as crazy...an outlier... "I think what is going on now without congressional intervention or judicial intervention is just plain wrong." more here "The intelligence committees ought to exercise their statutory authority on oversight, but they aren't," Specter said. "The Judiciary Committee has acted. We brought in the attorney general. We had a second hearing with a series of experts, and we are deeply involved in it."

We like Spector because he is a Senator practicing the kind of American government we remember...careful consideration of the facts, bi-partisan support, looking out for the constitution, chastizing the White House if needed. Sounds good to us.. wish others would remember their history as well.
