Cops Caught Up In Online Oversharing
Who Doesn't Have a Clue?
These Kentucky cops. Go ahead, Officer, put your business on MYSPACE, for crissakes! What dopes. How many times do people need to be warned about the dangers of online oversharing. We've posted about it more than once...we're seeing alot of apologies that are related to TMI (too much information). Get a clue, people! It could happen to you. From criminal investigations digging out emails, to stupid ego-driven sharing on MySpace, the Internet never forgets you.
Here's what happened: Officer apologizes for posting on Web
"A Lexington police officer has apologized for comments and photos he posted on the popular Web site MySpace.com that have jeopardized one court case and prompted an internal investigation. Officer Gene Haynes -- along with five other Lexington police officers -- were administratively charged in March after the police department began looking into the officers' MySpace pages, in which they discussed their jobs, commented on arrests they had made and used derogatory language about gays and the mentally disabled."
