Ducking Immigration - Even Libs Don't Get It

Who's Sorry Now?

No one, really. Status quo is a good thing (for businesses, for wimpy congressional types who don't want to go on record with a vote either way, for coyotes bringing folks in, blah blah blah).

And, guess what? Even the Libs don't get it. "Demonstrations in Chicago, LA, and elsewhere, perhaps the largest ever in US history, have taken cities by surprise over the few weeks. Local news outlets have covered these, but as Democracy Now! reported recently, there has been an almost total news blackout in the national media. But the most surprising part is how many leftists and progressives didn't even know these were coming. Still don't."

How many of you know about the March for Immigration Reform to take place on Monday, April 10, NATIONWIDE? Thought LA was big with 500K - just wait.

Here's the cop-out:
"The Senate sidetracked sweeping immigration legislation Friday, leaving in doubt prospects for passing a bill offering the hope of citizenship to millions of men, women and children living in the United States illegally. A carefully crafted compromise that supporters had claimed could win an overwhelming majority received only 38 of the 60 votes necessary to protect it from weakening amendments by opponents. Republicans were united in the 38-60 parliamentary vote but Democrats, who have insisted on no amendments, lost six votes from their members."
