Whoa. What's really going on here and how is it about to play out? The story right now is that a CIA operative Mary McCarthy was marched out of the building when she failed a lie detector test. Question now is, "Is she a leaker or a whistleblower?"

Apparently, she's the leaker/whistleblower on the secret prisons and renditions stories. Dana Priest, WaPo, was the receiver of the material. So...let's get this straight. Fire Mary McCarthy, but now Condi is the "leaker" of defense info to AIPAC? What's going on here? Hardball revenge get-back, that's what. What's not mentioned is the apparent overlap of Mary McCarthy and Joe Wilson on the National Security Council....hmmmm. We'll have to look into that and get back to you. More here:

"The CIA fired a long-serving intelligence officer for sharing classified information with The Washington Post and other news organizations, officials said yesterday, as the agency continued an aggressive internal search for anyone who may have discussed intelligence with the news media.
CIA officials said the career intelligence officer failed more than one polygraph test and acknowledged unauthorized contacts with reporters. The "officer knowingly and willfully shared classified intelligence, including operational information" with journalists, the agency said in a statement yesterday."
