Ah, that just might be the WH and our practicing alcoholic prez George. You know we love 'everything' Abramoff, whom we like to call our favorite wannabe gangsta.
So, here's the deal. Remember uber- conservative organization Judicial Watch? The guys, under Larry Klayman, who helped Paula Jones file her suit against Clinton? Larry Klayman, a way conservative, kinda nutball, hot head in his own right?
Well, there's a JW scandal brewing about LK suing the new President Tom Fitton, separate from the Abramoff news today. We'll keep you posted there. But for now, know that they're being referred to in the press as "a judicial watchdog". Hmmmm, that's interesting.
Back to Jack knows George. Turns out that JW is using its clout to force the Secret Service to turn over WH logs regarding Abramoff's visits. The Jackster's ego is so big that he's miffed that George doesn't remember him! Ya gotta love this one. Jack knows George (and supposedly the Rovester) and used that to win friends and influence people. George doesn't know Jack, according to the prez. "Hey, I take pictures with 'lots of people' " really irked Jack. Hah. So the big egos may be the undoing after all.
"The Secret Service has agreed to turn over White House visitor logs that will show how often convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff met with Bush administration officials — and with whom he met.U.S. District Judge John Garrett Penn last Tuesday approved an agreement between the Secret Service and Judicial Watch, a public interest group, that requires the agency to produce records of Abramoff's visits from Jan. 1, 2001, to the present."
