Who's Sorry Now?
The Republican Party SHOULD be sorry, that's for sure. Conservatives have the chump complex coming on. They realize they've been HAD.
WaPo here: "I've never seen conservatives so downright fed up as they are today. The current relationship between Washington Republicans and the nation's conservatives makes me think of a cheating husband whose wife catches him, and forgives him, time and time again. Then one day he comes home to discover that she has packed her bags and called a cab -- and a divorce lawyer."
They're driving away the base they spent 10 years building...a base that is FINALLY getting the wake-up call that the GOP doesn't really care about them, never did, and probably won't again. They are PAWNS in the dirty game of politics and power.
Big business is the name of the game today. Values, family, religion...all easily manipulated to get out the vote. Dems, take note. The same could (and did in years past) happen to you.
