Here: According to a story in Tuesday's New York Times, Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.), the powerful chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, is the primary impediment to George W. Bush's plans for immigration reform, Raw Story has learned.
The Times says of him, "Sensenbrenner, 63, can be neutrally described as a Washington piece of work -- a big-bellied curmudgeon with a taste for old Caddies, pontoon boats and enormous cigars. He is equally at home discussing policy minutiae or the disgusting details of his Dalmatian's recent intestinal problems."
Surprisingly, Democrats on his committee praise Sensenbrenner for his fairness, efficiency and willingness to heed their concerns.
