The real Islamo-Fascist war is one of words between two arch-rival extremist radioshow talkshow hosts vying for #1 in their markets.
That would be Michael Savage vs. Rush Limbaugh.
Savage believes he "created" the term Islamo-fascist (not sure that's something to be proud of...) , but it's been co-opted by Rushbo and Savage is hopping mad.
Couple that with GWB and Rove, et al, picking up on it (we believe it was first used by Condi during the Israel/Lebanon proxy war) - and well the ratings race is on.
So Limbaugh's appearance on the Evening News CBS Katie Couric festival has got Michael Savage and his handlers crazy. He's been trumped by his arch-rival and just can't stand it.
Meanwhile, all the rightie talkshow listeners REALLY BELIEVE there is such a thing as Islamo-fascists and they're getting all worked up over it. Calm down, everyone. Rush and Savage and Katie and Condi and GWB all get paid very nicely to spout this stuff and YOU DON'T.
