Who's apologizing now?
Republican Congressman, Rep. Don Sherwood, is apologizing in a TV AD (whoa!) for an affair....and claiming that "he never CHOKED his mistress". What?!? Let's get this straight, I'm sorry for the affair and for going back on my family values AND that I didn't choke my lover?
So, forgive me for being a slimebag and re-elect me anyway. That' your current GOP, folks.
“While I’m truly sorry for disappointing you, I never wavered from my commitment to reduce taxes, create jobs and bring home our fair share,” Sherwood said, addressing viewers. “Should you forgive me, you can count on me to keep on fighting hard for you and your family.”...Charges were never filed, but Ore sued Sherwood, claiming he had choked her. Sherwood apologized for the affair but denied abusing Ore. The suit was settled for an undisclosed sum." (here)
