Steve Jobs Apologizes In Options Scandal

Who's Apologizing Now?

Steve Jobs, for the stock options scandal. Ok, it happened on his watch, he'll come out ok, Apple is going to be fine. But, here we go again....really good companies (H.P. the other) under ethical violations that turn into criminal violations. So two "unidentified executives" for whom there is "serious concern" are under the so-called microscope.

"The company declined to identify the two former executives whose conduct over the accounting and reporting of stock option grants had raised investigators' questions. But in the same statement, Fred Anderson, the company's finance chief from 1996 until 2004, announced he would resign from its board of directors for the "best interests" of the company. Apple's longtime general counsel, Nancy Heinen, resigned earlier this year. Anderson could not be reached for comment, and Heinen's lawyer did not return phone calls." (here)
