NASA Chief Apologizes for Climate Comments

Who's apologizing now?

NASA Chief Michael Griffin is apologizing for his 'personal comments' about global warming not being a problem...whatever. But wait, think about where the American 'thought leadership" is these days....No such thing as evolution, and no global warming. Oh, and Jon Benet Ramsey's dad is dating Natalee Holloway's mom?!?

Griffin made headlines last week when he told a National Public Radio interviewer he wasn’t sure global warming was a problem....“All I can really do is apologize to all you guys.... I feel badly that I caused this amount of controversy over something like this,” he said.

Oh, and did you know that the Bush Administration has cut funding for the satellites that track the weather with climate sensors....more 'head in the sand' idiocy from The Gang Who Couldn't Shoot Straight.

A confidential report obtained by The Associated Press, warns that U.S. scientists will soon lose much of their ability to monitor warming from space using a costly and problem-plagued satellite initiative begun more than a decade ago.

Rick Piltz, director of Climate Science Watch, a watchdog program of the Washington-based Government Accountability Project, called the situation a crisis. “We’re going to start being blinded in our ability to observe the planet,” said Piltz, whose group provided the AP with the previously undisclosed report. “It’s criminal negligence, and the leaders in the climate science community are ringing the alarm bells on this crisis.”
