A Million Little Apologies

2006 Is the Year of the Apology. Ok. We're noticing that people are using "I'm Sorry" and " I Apologize" with a flipancy that clearly diminishes the meaning of the apology.

We're also noticing another trend...everything everyone says could be "offensive" to somebody somewhere. The "demands" for an apology are on the rise also.

In fact, apologizing, and demands for apologies have become "deceptive confetti", as one of our readers put it.

Sad state when so many must say I'm sorry
"Its one thing not to want to make the wrong mistake, as Yogi Berra can attest, but when virtually anything spoken or sung or written can be offensive to somebody, it diminishes what is truly offensive and demands apology."
