Libs Ask 50 ?s and Get 50 Answers

Who's Sorry Now?

We love the libs. We really do. But, Jeez Louise, do they make dumb moves. It's not that the righties are so smart, either, but ya gotta admit, their PR machine is pretty darned effective.

They've been distributing the same hymnal to their constituency for YEARS and YEARS and everyone sings from the same page NO MATTER WHAT. Is that a good thing? Nah.

But the libs seem to NEVER use this to their advantage. No, instead they keep posing John Kerry-like academic questions to the righties and the righties come right back, in unison, with a page out of their hymnal.

Notice, too, the latest tactic is to turn the question around and say, "Well, smarty pants, what would YOU do?" And of course the answer is a long-winded explanation and everyone gets bored with the answer even if it makes better sense. What's a Dem to do?

Here's the latest 50 questions answered - we don't begin to agree with it all, but the point is the TONE, not the SUBSTANCE. All 50 here

"1. What are the Top Seven best things that the Bush Administration has done?

Let's see: lower income taxes, nominate conservative U.S. Supreme Court justices, prevent terrorist attacks post-9/11 (so far), reinstate the "Mexico City Rule", depose the Taliban and bring democracy to Afghanistan (a work in progress), depose Saddam Hussein and bring democracy to Iraq (a work in progress), and delivered great economic results in the face of terrorists attacks and war.

What were the Top Seven best things that the Clinton Administration did?

2. Is the Iraq War is going well?

Not as well as I'd hoped, but better than I expected.

What's your plan for improving things?

3. After three years thus far, when do you think Iraq might be able to "stand up" so that America can "stand down"?

Since I'm not a military commander, I don't know. That's partially up to the Iraqi government, but obviously we reserve the final say-so if we — meaning our people on the ground in Iraq — don't feel the Iraqi government is making a good-faith effort.

What do you think should be the standard for our withdrawal from Iraq?

4. For his part in the event, how would you rate the job the President did protecting New Orleans from devastation?

I don't think that the President of the United States has any business protecting New Orleans or any other American city from natural disaster, so the question is not applicable. His response after the fact was very solid, even if he was a little too easy to give away tax dollars to solve a local problem.

Is it a good thing when a President engages in political pandering, as President Bush did in allocating billions for reconstruction in New Orleans, and President Clinton did in releases a large amount of oil from the National Petroleum Reserves in an election year?"
