BBC Apologizes to Queen

Who's apologizing now (to the Queen, no less)?

Queen at photo-shoot

Footage appearing to show the Queen storming out of a sitting with photographer Annie Leibovitz was shown in error and was not intended to be seen by the public or the press, the BBC has said.

The corporation has already said sorry to the Queen after wrongly implying that she stormed out of the photo-shoot with Leibovitz, one of America's most famous snappers.

The BBC Trust, which replaced the old Board of Governors, has asked director-general Mark Thompson to provide a full explanation by next week.It was claimed that Her Majesty left early when Leibovitz asked her to take off her crown. A trailer gave the impression that the monarch had abruptly halted the photo-shoot after Leibovitz's request.
