"Listen to the commanders in the field" and then FIRE Gen Peter Pace

Get a clue.

George Bush: Liar, liar, pants on fire. You lied about 'listening to the generals in the field'. When you don't hear what you want to hear from them however, you FIRE THEM. We give Gen Pace very high marks for refusing to be bullied by these bozos.

WASHINGTON — In his first public comments on the Bush administration's surprise decision to replace him as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Gen. Peter Pace disclosed that he had turned down an offer to voluntarily retire rather than be forced out.

To quit in wartime, he said, would be letting down the troops.

Pace, responding to a question from the audience after he spoke at the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Va., on Thursday evening, said he first heard that his expected nomination for a second two-year term was in jeopardy in mid-May. Defense Secretary Robert Gates on June 8 announced Pace was being replaced.

"One thing that was discussed was whether or not I should just voluntarily retire and take the issue off the table," Pace said, according to a transcript released Friday by his office at the Pentagon.

High Ranking Gay Veterans ask Pace to Apologize

Who SHOULD BE apologizing now?

General Pace, for his comments that homosexuality is immoral. Go s@rew yourself, Pace-y. You've got 20 year veterans who are gay who served your military and all Americans...so there.

APOLOGIZE for your remarks, Pace-y

RW Days after General Peter Pace, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, created a minor firestorm when he justified his support for the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy by describing homosexuality as "immoral," a group of seven high-ranking veterans responded this morning with a call for Pace to apologize and for Congress to repeal the policy.

"Our community has a long history of serving our country in the armed forces," the group said in a joint statement. "Today, there are more than 65,000 lesbian and gay troops on duty. Another one million gay and lesbian veterans, including the seven of us, have served in our fighting forces. General Pace's remarks dishonor that service, as does the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' law. General Pace must offer an immediate and unqualified apology for his remarks and Congress must take action to repeal the ban on lesbian, gay and bisexual Americans who want to serve our country."

General Pace in Drag

Who SHOULD BE apologizing now?

That would be idiot General Pace, for his comments about homosexuality being immoral. Expressing 'regret' is NOT apologizing.

WASHINGTON - The Pentagon's top general expressed regret Tuesday that he called homosexuality immoral, a remark that drew a harsh condemnation from members of Congress and gay advocacy groups.

Dude, this is 2007. Get over your evangelical self. You owe all those gay Arabic translators you kicked out an apology. You may owe US troops an apology who could have been put in danger by this action.

So, we like Perez Hilton's depiction of you in drag. Until you apologize, we're stickin' by it!
