Kissinger says its over, Blair says it's a disaster

Who's sorry now?

Anyone listening to old man Kissinger? We guess the best thing is that IF he still has the weight that is attributed to him, he's now stating the obvious and hopefully this is the beginning of the end. Ya Think?

WaPo LONDON -- Military victory is no longer possible in Iraq, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said in a television interview broadcast Sunday. In a wide ranging interview on British Broadcasting Corp. television, Kissinger presented a bleak vision of Iraq, saying the U.S. government must enter into dialogue with Iraq's regional neighbors _ including Iran _ if any progress is to be made in the region....

BB Downing Street moved swiftly to play down an apparent admission by British Prime Minister Tony Blair that the invasion of Iraq had been a "disaster," labelling his comments a "slip of the tongue." In an interview Friday on Al-Jazeera's new English-language channel, broadcaster Sir David Frost suggested that the 2003 US-led and British-backed invasion had "so far been pretty much of a disaster."

Excerpts from Woodward's New Book 'Denial'

Don't call Iraq Vietnam!

Why not? Turns out the three architects of the failed Vietnam war are the three architects of the FAILED IRAQI war! Duh. AND, don't forget, folks. When they talk about "cut and run", it was the REPUBLICANS under Nixon who "cut and run" out of Vietnam....

This is one of the most alarming statements from the excerpts of Woodward's book so far...."Of the outside people that I talk to in this job," Vice President Cheney told me in the summer of 2005, "I probably talk to Henry Kissinger more than I talk to anybody else. He just comes by and, I guess at least once a month, Scooter and I sit down with him." (Scooter is I. Lewis Libby, then Cheney's chief of staff.)
