Through The Looking Glass
"Let none but Americans stand guard tonight," said Washington at Valley Forge. Americans understand that. And when Bush implies it is sheer bigotry to prefer Brits to Arabs running U.S. ports, Americans marinated in Neocon World wonder if the man they entrusted with the nation's security has not lost his marbles."
This from the open-minded, clear thinking Libs? Nah. The extremes on both sides are too busy patting each other on the back for the dangerous game of 'gotcha' they're caught up in.
This is from Pat Buchanan, of all people (more here). So, close-minded Dems and GOP members, close your ears. Pat may be alot of things, but he's spot on with what he's putting forth about this: "Because Bush shuttles back and forth between these two visions in conflict, his foreign policy takes on an aspect of incoherence." Don't shoot the messenger. It's an accurate assessment of the idiot in charge. (We still believe that our country is being led by two un-treated alcoholics who are secretly drinking the country away).
Ya gotta give it to Pat for attempting to get the GOP back on it's conservative footing. The Alice in Wonderland world we're in today is nutty. Black is white; white is black. Dems strong on security? Could be. Big Spending Republicans? We told you that earlier in the month (here) . Whatever. It is a Through the Looking Glass world and it's getting curiouser and curiouser!
