Who's Sorry? Mr. Whittington!

The man shot by Cheney is SORRY

"My family and I are deeply sorry for everything Vice President Cheney and his family have had to deal with," he said. "We hope that he will continue to come and seek the relaxation that he deserves." (more here). It looks and sounds like good, genteel Southern manners, right?

Wrong. We think somebody got to this guy about towing the party line, or else.

Way to button up this one, guys - the cops are "satifsifed and closing the case"; Mr. Whittington is apologizing to the man who shot him; a messy mess all nice and tidy. Un-believable.
