Here's the latest: An evangelical pastor and a gay male escort....no, we can't make this stuff up. The fact that the pastor "temporarily" stepped down is not a good sign for a favorable outcome.

RMN: A prominent evangelical preacher is temporarily stepping down amid allegations by a former gay male escort that the two had a three-year sexual relationship, according to a church spokeswoman.
Ted Haggard, founder of the 14,000-member New Life Church and president of the National Association of Evangelicals, told KUSA Channel 9 that the escort is lying.

"I’ve never had a gay relationship with anybody, and I’m steady with my wife. I’m faithful to my wife," Haggard said.

Haggard is taking a voluntary administration leave as senior pastor to allow an independent board of overseers to investigate the allegations, said his niece Carolyn Haggard.

This recent article on Marina Pacific's new marketing campaign form XBiz, a porn industry trade sheet, notes that, in addition to producing its own material, the "company acts as a distribution house to hundreds of lines, mostly gay, 40 of which can be purchased only through MPD."

(CBS/AP) A protégé of White House political guru Karl Rove produced the controversial Republican National Committee ad targeting Tennessee Democratic Senate candidate Rep. Harold Ford Jr., that some have called racist, CBS News has learned. The ad, in which a white woman with blonde hair and bare shoulders looks into the camera and whispers, "Harold, call me," and then winks, was produced by Scott Howell, the former political director for Rove's consulting firm in Texas.
