Neo-Con(Artists) hijack American policy AGAIN

The Iraqi debacle is not the product of their (neocon) failed policies. Rather, it is the result of America's failure to think big.

Those rats. Those turncoats. Those traitors. How dare they? And how dare we let them. Bush is clearly under their spell....when is somebody going to wake the "sleeping prince" up? Is he really that stupid, or does he actually buy this horse pocky?

Do you realize that the NeoConArtists have had Iran in their sights for over 10 YEARS?!? This isn't something about WMD or Islamofascism (a term which wasn't even in vogue 10 years ago). Nope, this is the faaar right wingnut Likud party agenda:

VF On July 8, 1996, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's newly elected prime minister and the leader of its right-wing Likud Party, paid a visit to the neoconservative luminary Richard Perle in Washington, D.C. The subject of their meeting was a policy paper that Perle and other analysts had written for an Israeli-American think tank, the Institute for Advanced Strategic Political Studies. Titled "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm," the paper contained the kernel of a breathtakingly radical vision for a new Middle East. By waging wars against Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, the paper asserted, Israel and the U.S. could stabilize the region. Later, the neoconservatives argued that this policy could democratize the Middle East.

The (war on Iran) drumbeat goes on

Could it be that everything is going according to the Bush plan? Put the middle east in turmoil like never before, stir it up, friend against foe, blah blah blah?

Why, yes, America, we think that's exactly what's going on here. Bush and Cheney are now in public saying things like "Congress doesn't matter" and "troops are authorized to kill Iranians". Why? Remember, it's the oil stupid. Oh, and if the right wing Likud agenda is furthered, then, terrific.

Bush said it today. "I'm the Decider" (read Dictator?)
President Bush, on a collision course with Congress over Iraq, said Friday "I'm the decision-maker" about sending more troops to the war. He challenged skeptical lawmakers not to prematurely condemn his plan.

So, stir it up and meanwhile get the mega military bases finished, start pumping Iraq oil, and soon Iranian oil under private revenue sharing agreements. Who cares what the Arab street says? Not Bush. Not Cheney. Not Netanyahu. Not Bill Kristol. Nope. Get the oil (revenues), period. Need to redraw a map or two? No problem. Iraq is a phony country, anyway, invented by the British way back in the heyday of the British Empire. Ask Bush, he'll tell you it's America's turn....

"The Good Ship Neocon is Going Down"

Let's hope so. Good article here on how Iraq might be the tipping point that PROVES that the flights-of-fantasy by the worst of the worst NeoConArtists is pure CRAP. Anyway, aren't Irving Kristol and the NeoConArtists old communist lefties who support the Likud party no matter what?

Timesonline: "HARK — CAN YOU hear it? Borne on the wind, can you hear the sounds of construction — of hammers hammering and woodsaws sawing? And do you detect a note of panic? I do. The good ship Neocon is going down. She has struck the Iraqi rocks, the engine room is awash, and on the deck in anxious pursuit of something to float them away is a curious assembly.

Her Majesty’s Brigade of Neocon Columnists and Leader Writers mingles with much of the elite of British politics. The new Labour Cabinet and its courtiers and most of the Opposition’s front bench rub shoulders with Fleet Street’s finest. Is that David Aaronovitch I see, hammer in hand? Jack Straw is handing him the nails. There’s Michael Gove scribbling notes while Danny Finkelstein rips a blank sheet from a discarded do-it-yourself regime change manual, and ponders a hastily sketched design. Willie Shawcross has the saw and Tim Hames and Margaret Beckett are ripping planks from the deck. Gordon Brown skulks behind the mast as those unlikely bedfellows, Matthew d’Ancona, of The Spectator, and Johann Hari, of The Independent, assemble what timber they can find.
