Huckabee apologizes to Romney

Blah blah blah. Do Americans want a president named Huckabee? Who believes in Christian domestic discipline? Ah, no. Nor is a Mormon getting elected. The big elephant there is .....Warren Jeffs, polyagmy, etc. So this apology is cute but mute.

HUFFPO: Republican Mike Huckabee told CNN Wednesday he personally apologized to rival Mitt Romney for comments he made in an upcoming New York Times Magazine article that appear to disparage the Mormon faith.

"After the debate today I went to Mitt Romney and apologized to him. I said, I would never try, ever to try to somehow pick out some point of your faith and make it an issue, and I wouldn't," Huckabee told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "I've stayed away from talking about Mitt Romney's faith. I told him face-to-face, I said I don't think your being a Mormon ought to make you more or less qualified for being a president."

Romney 's not losing his religion

Who's not happy with the digs at his religion?

That would be Republican candidate Mitt Romney. Whatever. Get over it, dude. Sorry, America's spooked by Mormons. That's not going to change.

"Clearly, any derogatory comments about anyone's faith _ those comments are troubling. The fact they keep on coming up is even more troubling," Romney said during a fundraising trip in the home state of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Mormon church is one of the fastest-growing religions and claims about 12.5 million members worldwide. But many evangelical Christians in crucial primary states such as Iowa and South Carolina consider the faith a cult.

Romney's remarks follow an apology from GOP rival John McCain's campaign for comments about the Mormon church allegedly made this year by a volunteer.

McCain Apologizes to Romney

Who's Sorry Now?

McCain's camp apologizes to Romeny's camp on religious bigotry. Whatever. McCain is in a freefall and will be out of the race shortly.

It's the polygamy, stupid. Romney will never make it into the real primary because of his religion. News flash! America is not electing a Mormon for Prez. Maybe a woman, maybe a black guy, but never a Mormon. Especially with the Pedophile Prophet making news noise every now and then.

The incident dates to a meeting of Iowa Republican activists in April, where McCain's Warren County chairman, Chad Workman, is alleged to have made negative comments about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Mormon faith. Romney is a Mormon.

A participant at the meeting said Workman questioned whether Mormons were Christians, and he referenced an article alleging that the Mormon church supports the Islamic militant group Hamas. The participant talked to The Associated Press on Friday on condition of anonymity because he is involved in Iowa politics and wanted to protect his identity.

In response to a question on whether Mormon women were more likely to be stay-at-home mothers, the participant said Workman associated the treatment of Mormon women with the Taliban.

The Pedophile Prophet - just what Romney needs

We're no fan of Mitt Romney, but ya gotta feel sorry for the guy when the news is FILLED with Mormon sicko tidbits like Warren Jeffs, the Pedophile Prophet, still "ruling" from jail.

Isn't he creepy? Could you imagine him deciding which old decrepit man would be your 13 year old daughter's husband? YUCK!!!!

Oh well. Don't you love that the jail is the Purgatory jail? America is NOT going to elect a Mormon, anyway, with Jeffs or not...Sorry, Mitt.

From a cell in the Purgatory jail 10 months after his arrest, fundamentalist Mormon leader Warren Jeffs is still God's voice on Earth to thousands of polygamists in this isolated community...

"As long as he is alive he will be the prophet, unless he stands up before them and renounces the religion, denounces what he's been doing for the past decade. That's the only way, besides dying, he will not be the prophet," said Steed.

Steed is one of hundreds of so-called "lost boys," males who are exiled from the sect partly to reduce competition for young brides.

Jeffs, 51, was declared on May 28 mentally fit to stand trial in September, charged as an accomplice to rape for using his authority to order a 14-year-old girl against her wishes to marry and have sex with her 19-year-old cousin.

McCain goes Dean-a-listic

Who's sorry now?

Those sorry GOPers, ya gotta feel sorry for them. Look at their choices:
  • Romney - America is NOT going to elect a Mormon
  • Guiliani - America is NOT going to elect a cross-dressing, 3 X divorced, pro-abortion Republican, NY politician with mob ties
  • And then there's McCain - who's been going dean-a-listic (as in Howard Dean and his famous scream).

An angry, profane exchange between Sen. John McCain and another Republican senator last week prompted a new round of questions Monday about whether McCain's legendary temper is becoming a liability to his campaign for the presidency.

In a private meeting just off the Senate floor, McCain (R-Ariz.) got into a shouting match Thursday with Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) over details of a compromise on immigration legislation. Cornyn accused McCain of being too busy with his campaign to take part in the negotiations, prompting McCain to utter "F… you."

McCain spokesman Danny Diaz acknowledged Monday that a "spirited exchange" had taken place, but said news reports had exaggerated its intensity.

PS - We like Ron Paul, even if he is a Republican....at least he's the kind of Republican we all can recognize.

Romney's in it to lose

Sorry, this is just GOP distraction while they try to find an "electable" conservative candidate. McCain? Going Howard Dean any minute. Guilani? Tied to the mob, too liberal. Huckabee? Republicans are not nominating Huckabee.....he's their Carter.

So, if Hillary's in it to win, Mitt Romney's in it to lose. NO WAY a Mormon is going to be prez. Black? Female? Maybe. Mormon, sorry, no dice. And it's not the religion, per se...it's the polygamy. And no matter how you dress up the Mormons, that's the elephant in their living room.

CNN ...However, as Romney tries to woo those voters, his religion may present an obstacle. Romney is a member of the Utah-based Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly known as the Mormon Church, which some conservative evangelicals view as a non-Christian, cultlike organization.

"I think there will be attacks on Romney that will be launched by third-party groups about his religion," said David Magleby, a dean at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, a Mormon institution where Romney received a bachelor's degree in 1971. "I think that's almost a certainty."
