Something big enough to completely shut down talk about Foley, scandals, spying, gays in the GOP, Hastert's coverup, Korea, 9-11, security, borders, etc.

Attack Iran - the REAL October Surprise

This is a doomsday worldveiw, but not one that Karl Rove and the Neo-conartists wouldn't just LOVE to implement. Be concerned, be very concerned. This is the REAL October surprise. Especially as the drumbeat increases on the Foley scandal, etc. Attack on Iran is moving to the front burner.

Here "If the fallout from the Foley scandal makes it appear inevitable that the Democrats will take the House, the Iran card may be the surest one, and perhaps the only one, that the Bush administration has left to play. I am certain that the sons of bitches who call the shots in the administration have no intention of letting some annoying, whining pipsqueaks (as they undoubtedly view them) peer over their shoulders during the last two years of their reign, as they attempt to ensure American and Republican domination of this country and the world for the foreseeable future.In the hysteria that would follow an attack on Iran, and in the ensuing, spreading carnage, enough people may well rally to the support of the administration to prevent the Democrats from making the required gains."

Is this the October surprise Rove promised? Mark Foley's scandal and Bob Woodward's book make for shakey waters. Add the recent school shootings - terrorism against children in our own land - and we're in a world of hurt.

The winner today, though, is Tony Snowjob who made a brainless remark earlier today to Soledad O'Brien about Foley's "naught emails". Dude, have you watched TV lately? All predator, all the time on NBC, MSNBC, Nancy Grace, CNN, on and on. You're talking directly to parents now, and they take that really seriously, you idiot. You don't want to dis your base.

Good to see you Soledad, thanks.

O'BRIEN: I would assume everybody would want to know, including the president. I mean we're not talking about any old person, we're talking about the leadership of the Republicans in Congress. Why would he not hear something that's disturbing or his office? Over- friendly, when I see that word as a parent and I think any parent would say whoa, over-friendly? Any communication between a 16-year-old and a congressman why doesn't that raise red flags, major, massive red flags?

SNOW: Look, I hate to tell you, but it's not always pretty up there on Capitol Hill and there have been other scandals as you know that have been more than simply naughty e-mails. You know look, again, I'll reiterate my point. I think it's important to protect these kids and make sure that they have a good experience and like you, I want to find out what happened. But before we prosecute let's figure out what all the facts are. That's probably the most important thing to do is to be fair to all parties.
