Condi picks the Colts

Who's handicapping the Super Bowl now?

That would be Secty of State, Condelezza Rice, who picks the Colts over the Bears. Think she'll be sorry on Monday morning?

Wonder what this does to the book in Vegas..guess we could ask Bill Bennett, a hypocrite of the greatest order, a gambling addict, er, family values guy, etc.

Nah, he's SO over.

Say, what about those rumors she would become the NFL commissioner after leaving the Bush administration? If she doesn't run for Prez, that's where she just might set her sights.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who says her dream job is to head the National Football League, dropped her diplomatic guard on Friday and predicted Indianapolis would win the Super Bowl.

"I really like both Chicago and Indianapolis but I think Indianapolis is going to win it and that would be a good thing," said Rice, a longtime Cleveland Browns fan, when asked by reporters to predict the winner.

The Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts face off on Sunday in Miami for the biggest single sporting event of the year in the United States.

Condi was briefed about Al-Qeada before 9-11

Get a clue!

Condi's not coming out smelling like a rose on this one. She denied the meeting and, oops!, lo and behold, she WAS briefed by the then-CIA Director on July 10, 2001 about Al-Qaeda.

NYT here:

"...The account by Sean McCormack came hours after Ms. Rice, the secretary of state, told reporters aboard her airplane that she did not recall the specific meeting on July 10, 2001, noting that she had met repeatedly with Mr. Tenet that summer about terrorist threats. Ms. Rice, the national security adviser at the time, said it was “incomprehensible” she ignored dire terrorist threats two months before the Sept. 11 attacks.

Mr. McCormack also said records show that the Sept. 11 commission was informed about the meeting, a fact that former intelligence officials and members of the commission confirmed on Monday."
