Secure the borders? Bush could care less...

Here's a new twist on that old phrase "Keep on Truckin":

And the immigration debate is about as phony as the War on Christmas. That's because George W. Bush is and always has been supporting the beginnings of the North American Union. The latest increase in Mexican trucker carriers announced on the DOT website confirms this.

Hullo, American consumers - all you Wal Mart shoppers. You asked for this. You keep consuming and consuming and somebody has to get you your stuff.

PC:In a stealthy maneuver, the Bush administration has boosted the threat to the public by increasing the number of Mexico-based trucking firms allowed access to all U.S. roads as part of the reckless North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) trucking “pilot program.” The Department of Transportation recently revealed an increase in the number of NAFTA trucks permitted to all U.S. highways – now 10 carriers, sending as many as 55 trucks throughout the country.

The last time the Bush administration made a public announcement about the number of Mexico-based carriers allowed to participate in the NAFTA trucks pilot program, there were only three carriers.

Immigration bill bust - Fairness Doctrine will come back

Who's Sorry Now?

Whew, that was close. It almost looked like the US was going to have to DO something about immigration. NEWS FLASH: The borders will be blurred eventually through SPP. Maybe they will have to wait until all the baby boomer talk radio fans begin to die off, but it will happen.

And what about all those politicians - right or left - who supported their favorite talk radio host? Don't be fooled by the posturing by the House Republicans....they can't wait to secretly bring back the Fairness Doctrine, whether they're conservative or not, to SHUT UP the talkers - who killed the bill - that has to pass one way or the other.

Good or bad, talkers rule, just ask Trent Lott.

House Republican lawmakers are preparing to fight anticipated Democratic efforts to regulate talk radio by reviving rules requiring stations to balance conservative hosts such as Rush Limbaugh with liberals such as Al Franken.

Conservatives fear that forcing stations to make equal time for liberal talk radio would cut into profits so drastically that radio executives would opt to scale back on conservative radio programming to avoid escalating costs and interference from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

GOP struggles to find leadership

Who's Sorry Now?

Those snarky, angry, hater Republicans - who ran on fear, fear, fear, and who now can't seem to find a way out of yet another quagmire. As if Iraq weren't enough.

And watch for a real rift coming in the GOP over immigration. They're mad as hell, and divided, as their Prez waltzes off into the sunset with the Dems on this one. (BTW, we said MONTHS ago that the GOP never should have taken immigration up as an issue. Very bad idea - lose voters, big business, etc. What were they thinking? Now the "snake is in the plane" and they're screwed .)

WT: House Republicans in search of someone to lead them out of the minority wilderness are growing increasingly frustrated with their choices in the leadership elections as Senate Democrats yesterday swiftly approved a slate of top leaders. .. ... Some Republicans have expressed reluctance to return Mr. Boehner to leadership after last week's disastrous elections, and some are opposed to Mr. Pence for forging a compromise on immigration that critics dismissed as "amnesty."

Bush Builds a Fence - Big Whoop

WASHINGTON - President Bush signed a bill Thursday authorizing 700 miles of new fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border, hoping to give Republican candidates a pre-election platform for asserting they're tough on illegal immigration. "Unfortunately the United States has not been in complete control of its borders for decades and therefore illegal immigration has been on the rise," Bush said at a signing ceremony.

Whatever. Those in the know understand 2 key things:
1. Signing for the FENCE is blatant pandering to the base and apparently that's fine with them;
2. The base is getting dupped again (just like WMD and Iraq).

It's the old bait and switch, folks. OIL WAS AND IS the goal in Iraq - The Security and Prosperity Partnership is the goal with the FENCE. The the plan to annex Mexico and join with Canada to build a North American Union is the long term goal.

Let's be clear. Bush and Co are NOT STUPID. They have a plan for just about everything they do. They're not honest about their plans, but that doesn't mean they don't have one.

We are staying the course in Iraq, because as Bush said in his press conference yesterday, the world's LARGEST OIL RESERVES are in Iraq. Bush, Cheney, Rice - ALL ex-OIL executives! They are not about to leave now. They are planning to OWN that oil and they will.

And the US WILL MERGE with Mexico, whether the base likes it or not. The base is being sold on a FENCE today - the fence that won't get built, btw, and which will turn into the SPP, like it or not.

Hey, it may be the greatest defense against an Islamist world order - ever think of that?
