Clinton Hostage Crisis Ends

But he doesn't look like a terrorist or hostage taker....our crazy world is upside down, isn't it? Did you see this guy? He looks like your accountant...but the press characterized him all day as an "indigent" and someone with "mental problems". Hmmmm. Our stereotypes are crumbling in front of our eyes.

Oral Roberts Sr. to stop oral sex at ORU

Who's sorry now?

That would be those guarding the money train at ORU are in a panic and they've called the old man back to save the day (or as he would say, rebuke the devil).

TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts returned to his namesake university Monday and denied the lurid accusations that have threatened to engulf the school, telling students and employees in a chapel service that "the devil is not going to steal ORU."...Making his first visit to Oral Roberts University in three years, Roberts said at the service that his son Richard Roberts, who took a leave of absence as the school's president last week, eventually will return to his position, the Tulsa World reported.

Rep Stark should not apologize

CNN is reporting that 88% of those voting in their Friday morning online poll say there is no reason Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) should apologize for remarks blasting President Bush on the floor of the House of Representatives.

In the course of debate on expanding SCHIP funding, Stark told Congressional Republicans, "You don't have money to fund the war or children. But you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people, if we could get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their head's blow off for the president's amusement."

The following video is from CNN's American Morning, broadcast on October 19, 2007.

CNN's Ed Henry singlehandedly stops the invasion of Iran

Not really. But it sure is good to see a reporter pushing back. Ed Henry, well, we sure didn't have him pegged for this, but, hey, wartime brings out unusual heros.

Bottom line, the neoConArtists and the GOP last-gaspers are trying their damnedest to scare Americans into war with Iran. NOT. Here's Ed Henry taking Tony Snowjob on regarding what GENERAL PACE said....Psst, Tony, the days of twisting words around is so over....

The following video contains clips from CNN and AP.

Transcript:

Phillips: Tony Snow was saying that the Quds are behind this, because there's three parts to the Iranian government: the president, the radicals, the Qods, and the Clergy, which is the Ayatollah. So he's saying it's that part of the Iranian government that he believes is behind these weapons?

Henry: He's saying that directly. One of the questions that's out there is these briefers over the weekend in Baghdad, these US Military officials were saying that it went to the highest level of the Iranian government. There's some question about exactly what that means. Are they on the same page there as well? Does this really go to the highest levels of Iranian government or not.

Ken Mehlman is Gay? DUH

Get a clue. Like we didn't know that Ken Mehlman is gay.

Turns out the GOP is FULL of closet gays....Ken is just one of them.

Most Americans could care less about the "gay" part. It's the smarmy hypocrisy that gets them. How dare these guys get out there and use anti-gay rhetoric to win votes....meanwhile being gay themselves. Talk about self-loathing!

So, Bill Maher (who we're not that crazy about, btw), outs KM on LK and CNN cuts it. Yoo Hoo - CNN! The GOP is out of power! You don't need to be so paranoid. Jeez!

Lou Dobbs on Lynne Cheney's CNN Interview

You go, Lou! Even though we're not that crazy about Wolf B, we DO like Lou and his take on the state of the nation. Plus, he gets the power angle. That's what's corrupted the GOP so badly - that and their obsession with sex and money.

And Lynne Cheney's got to be as cold hearted as her husband, Dick, no?
Must be TORTURE putting up with him.

Transcript here via HuffPo:
....DOBBS: Terrific interview with Lynne Cheney. And it really, it was very revealing. In terms of the tone and the tact that's being taken. Now we are watching power bridling and truth being spoken to power.
