Bush Commutes Libby's Sentence

Scooter gets a Get Out of Jail Free Card. Don't be fooled. Bush is not as dumb as people think and doesn't need anyone's approval...just look at the recent Supreme Court decisions, oil deals in Iraq and most likely with Putin's North Pole land grab, and now he commutes Scooter's sentence...Sorry, Bush is a winner to those that matter.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby cannot delay his 2 1/2-year prison term in the CIA leak case, a federal appeals panel unanimously ruled Monday.

The decision is a major setback for Libby, who is running out of legal options and who probably will have to surrender to prison in weeks. The ruling puts pressure on President Bush, who has been sidestepping calls by Libby's allies to pardon the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney.

Libby was convicted in March of lying and obstructing the investigation into the 2003 leak of CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity. He is the highest-ranking White House official ordered to prison since the Iran-Contra affair.

Cheney's Shadow Presidency

Get a clue.

Like this is news? Well, no, however the details are quite juicy....and scary. But, hey, anyone who shoots his friend in the face on a druken quail shoot in Texas is suspect in the first place.

Is the president surprised or worried? Hell, no. This is what Cheney was hired for...to do the dirty work of ripping off the American people, get into Iraq, etc. Meanwhile, the press, the people, the world are all bamboozled....and we're now the sorry ones....WaPo is doing a bang-up job on exposing the VP:

Dick Cheney is the most influential and powerful man ever to hold the office of vice president. This series examines Cheney's largely hidden and little-understood role in crafting policies for the War on Terror, the economy and the environment.

Sudnday: Part 1 Working in the Background -
A master of bureaucracy and detail, Cheney exerts most of his influence out of public view.

Monday: Part 2 Wars and Interrogations - Convinced that the "war on terror" required "robust interrogations" of captured suspects, Dick Cheney pressed the Bush administration to carve out exceptions to the Geneva Conventions.

DC Madam Names Video

What's got everyone's underware in a bunch in Washington DC?

The Iraq war funding bill? Nah, Dems are happy to get minimum wage hike.

The Immigration Bill? Nah, crocodile tears from Boner, er Boehner. How many times did we counsel the GOP to DROP the immigration issue? Millions!

Nope. What's got everyone on edge is when those damn names are coming out? Here's a fun video that asks more questions than it answers....but combine this with WMR - who we love, because he's digging (who cares if he's weird....), and this is the ONLY hot topic in DC. It combines Abramoff, the US Attorney firings, Porter Goss and Dusty Foggo (sleaze bag gamblers and johns from the CIA), and the biggest dick of all, Dick Cheney, who's name "is not NOT on the list".

Cheney and the Real Dick(s) Behind the DC Madam List

Get a CLUE!

Have you been wondering why the ABC story on "naming names" wimped out? What kind of pressure did Disney and ABC receive to shut the fu@k up, and from whom? And remember the Duke Cunningham limo story, the CIA poker party story that featured both Porter Goss and Dusty Foggo? And are you wondering why Big Dick Cheney is war mongering at Iran again? Is he going to start a war to take our attention away from domestic stories AGAIN?!?

And now you may be wondering if any of this US Attorney stuff has something to do with old white guys on Viagra and prostitutes.... Well, here's a juicy version and a good read:
May 12-13, 2007 --

...The focus on the DC Hookergate story has now moved to Baltimore, and the firing by the Justice Department in December 2004 of the US Attorney for Maryland, Thomas DiBiagio. DiBiagio was fired, along with a number of other US attorneys, after George W. Bush's re-election for political reasons. One of DiBiagio's public corruption targets was the staff of then-Republican Maryland Governor Bob Ehrlich, some of whom had engaged the services of Madam Palfrey's escorts. The US Attorney's office in Baltimore first became involved in the investigation of the prostitution ring after the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) office and IRS agent Troy Burrus in Baltimore made a criminal referral to the US Attorney's office in Baltimore. Subsequently, an asset seizure warrant for Palfrey's assets was issued. Palfrey and her employees used two telephones in Maryland for their escort business, 301 231-5800 in Rockville, near some of the "mansions" in Potomac, Maryland and Great Falls, Virginia described by "20/20" as the locations in DC where Pamela Martin escorts would pay calls, and 410 244-1818 in Baltimore.

After Ehrlich complained to then-Deputy Attorney General James Comey about the aggressiveness of DiBiagio, the Baltimore-based US Attorney was placed on the firing list in the wake of the 2004 election. David Margolis, an Associate Deputy Attorney General, claimed he did not know about any investigations of Ehrlich's staff by DiBiagio when he informed the number one Justice Department official in Baltimore that the Justice Department had lost confidence in his abilities.

There's tons more on WMR

Condi to become the next Big Dick

Who's the next Big Dick? We've been saying the next VP is Condi.

That's because Big Dick Cheney is in meltdown mode.

In addition to being the biggest Neo-Conartist of them all and on the take with Halliburton, he shoots his friend in the face and our Texas insiders told us at the time that everyone, including Big Dick, was totally smashed on Scotch that day. (And then Dick didn't even apologize. Not very Vice Presidential.)

Lately, he's in the news because his lesbo daughter is having a lesbo baby. We love lesbos, but Big Dick is where he is today on the backs of millions of Americans who HATE lesbos. What up, Big Dick? Oh, and he's married to one true witch...Lynne Cheney is a biatch of the highest order - pure greed and power dressed up as smarmy Americanism. Wouldn't want to be a fly on the wall in their bedroom!

Well, now, according to Frank Rich, NYT, he's in total meltdown mode over the Libby trial. Yeah, right, because he totally outed Valerie Plame and he know it. Well, hooray! On the compassionate side, let's hope he gets the mental health help he desparately needs.

RS Cheney, in other words, understands the danger this trial poses to the White House even as some of Washington remains oblivious. From the start, the capital has belittled the Joseph and Valerie Wilson affair as "a tempest in a teapot," as David Broder of The Washington Post reiterated just five months ago....

Cheney did it - He outed Valerie Plame

Who's in pretty big trouble now?

That would be Dick Cheney, the biggest dick of all, who outed Valerie Plame. Here's some real good Hardball video. PS: we've predicting Dick resigns and Condi becomes VP in postition to make a Presidential run. Bolton or Negroponte go to State.

Mary Cheney: My Lesbian baby is better than yours

Cuz I got big mean Daddy Cheney to beat the crap outta you if you challenge me, so suck it, Libs!

So let's get this straight (no pun intended). Lesbos are totally dissed and even EVIL if you're a wingnut or Jesus freak. The wingnuts and Jesus freaks elected Bush/Cheney. Does that mean any lesbo is an EVIL lesbo? Or does it mean that there's a double standard going on here.

We really don't care one way or the other. We love the L Word. But if we were wingnuts and/or Jesus freaks, we'd be hoppin' mad.

AP Dick Cheney became testy last week when CNN's Wolf Blitzer asked him what he thought of conservatives who are critical of his daughter's pregnancy. Cheney told Blitzer he was "over the line." In a brief interview with The New York Times after Wednesday's panel, Mary Cheney said she agreed that Blitzer had crossed a line. "He was trying to get a rise out of my father," she said.

Think it's still possible to get a 'rise' out of Dick?

Libby sold down the river

Who's sorry now?

That would be our buddy Irving. Oh, and maybe his boss, the sharpshooter-Cheney. Turns out now crybaby Irv is feeling sold out. Well, well, well....look at how the cowards act when the tables are turned.

ABC Libby, who had been asked to counter Wilson's criticisms, felt betrayed and sought out his boss, Vice President Dick Cheney, lawyer Theodore Wells said.

"They're trying to set me up. They want me to be the sacrificial lamb," Wells said, recalling Libby's end of the conversation. "I will not be sacrificed so Karl Rove can be protected.

Cheney wants to see your credit history

Who's taking more power now?

That would be straight shooter (just kidding) Dick Cheney. And DICK is the right name for this mean sumabiatch...

GU National security letters permit the executive branch to seek records about people in terrorism and spy investigations without a judge's approval or grand jury subpoena. ``The Defense Department gets involved because we've got hundreds of bases inside the United States that are potential terrorist targets,'' Cheney said. ``The Department of Defense has legitimate authority in this area. This is an authority that goes back three or four decades. It was reaffirmed in the Patriot Act,'' he said. ``It's perfectly legitimate activity. There's nothing wrong with it or illegal. It doesn't violate people's civil rights.''

Valerie Plame case uses Paula Jones legal precedent

Here's an obscure piece of information from a few months back that seems to be going unnoticed by most....let's go back to the 1990's when Paula Jones took on President Clinton and the Supreme court decided she could sue him while he was still in office. (talk about Activist Judges!)

In 1997, the U.S. Supreme Court said in a unanimous ruling that neither Clinton “or any other official has an immunity that extends beyond the scope of any action taken in an official capacity.”

Anyway, now that same precedent will be used to get Cheney et al to have to testify in the Valerie Plame outing case while they're still serving in office...Ha! The worm may indeed be turning!

PR A lawyer plans to use a legal precedent that allowed President Bill Clinton to be sued while in office to force Vice President Dick Cheney and presidential adviser Karl Rove to testify in a lawsuit brought by former CIA operative Valerie Plame and her husband.

California attorney Joseph Cotchett said he will ask a federal court to order Cheney, his ex-chief of staff Lewis “Scooter” Libby and Rove to testify in depositions about their role in disclosing her classified status.

Lou Dobbs on Lynne Cheney's CNN Interview

You go, Lou! Even though we're not that crazy about Wolf B, we DO like Lou and his take on the state of the nation. Plus, he gets the power angle. That's what's corrupted the GOP so badly - that and their obsession with sex and money.

And Lynne Cheney's got to be as cold hearted as her husband, Dick, no?
Must be TORTURE putting up with him.

Transcript here via HuffPo:
....DOBBS: Terrific interview with Lynne Cheney. And it really, it was very revealing. In terms of the tone and the tact that's being taken. Now we are watching power bridling and truth being spoken to power.

NeoConArtists Warmongering on N. Korea

Who's warmongering now?

The NeoConArtists - who totally fell out of favor because Iraq is doing badly and Lebanon won. They CAN'T STAND being out of the limelight and the N. Korea saga is music to their ears. Beware the NeoConArtists!

aTimes here:
Encouraging Japan to build nuclear weapons, shipping food aid via submarines and running secret sabotage operations inside North Korea's borders are among a raft of policy prescriptions pushed by prominent US neo-conservatives in the wake of Pyongyang's reported testing of an atomic bomb. ...
The neo-conservatives, whose influence on the Bush administration has generally been on the wane since late 2003 when it became clear that the Iraq war they had done so much to champion was going badly, nonetheless retain some clout, particularly through the offices of Vice President Dick Cheney and Rumsfeld.
