Fox-Bush: Get Ready for the Amero (Like the Euro)

Get a clue.

In addition to all going well in Iraq (according to the Bush-NeoCon plan), all is going well with NAFTA and the creation of your new country - the North American Union. This new union will encompass Mexico, the US, and Canada. Think we're kidding? We're not.
The new NAFTA superhighway going from Mexico through Kansas City up to Canada is testament to the new plan. The US gets new resources, cheap labor, more land mass, solves the border problems, ..and create a majority Christian nation. Interesting, no? And, to prove this is, last nite Mexico's ex-president, Vincente Fox, let the cat out of the bag on Larry King with this:

KING: E-mail from Mrs. Gonzalez in Elizabeth, New Jersey. "Mr. Fox, I would like to know how you feel about the possibility of having a Latin America united with one currency?"

FOX: Long term, very long term. What we propose together, President Bush and myself, it's ALCA, which is a trade union for all of the Americas. And everything was running fluently until Hugo Chavez came. He decided to isolate himself. He decided to combat the idea and destroy the idea...

KING: It's going to be like the euro dollar, you mean?

FOX: Well, that would be long, long term. I think the processes to go, first step into is trading agreement. And then further on, a new vision, like we are trying to do with NAFTA.

Bush: What, me torture? Never and now you can't prosecute me for it , either

First off, the latest Executive order by Bush says something like this:

Via The Washington Post:

Bush administration officials unveiled a bold new assertion of executive authority yesterday in the dispute over the firing of nine U.S. attorneys, saying that the Justice Department will never be allowed to pursue contempt charges initiated by Congress against White House officials once the president has invoked executive privilege.

So, then you read about the "new" torture proclamation by the Bushies and wonder what happens if they don't do it right. And what about this part of the conference call - no apologies here:

On a White House-organized conference call, organized on the condition that the briefer not be named, one senior Bush aide refused to discuss whether any detention or interrogation practices, or how many detainees, were affected.

He refused to discuss specifically the order's impact on "waterboarding," in which a prisoner is tied down and water is poured over the face or over a cloth stretched over the face, producing the sensation of drowning.

He sidestepped a question about why sleep was not included in a section explicitly granting detainees "the basic necessities of life, including adequate food and water, shelter from the elements, necessary clothing, protection from extremes of heat and cold, and essential medical care." "And as to sleep, that's not something that is traditionally numerated in the Geneva Convention provisions," the official said.

Bush apologizes for Walter Reed

Who's sorry now?

Don't know if he's hungover or if he's truly sorry, but President Bush apologized today for the $hitty conditions at Walter Reed. He'd better be apologizing - he's a draft dodger/war monger wh's actions have harmed these kids for life. And, hey, George! A photo-op ain't gonna be enough.

President Bush apologized to troops face to face on Friday for shoddy conditions they have endured at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He shook the artificial hand of a lieutenant and cradled a newborn whose daddy is nursing his remaining, severely injured leg back to health....
But Steve Robinson with Veterans for America tells a different story.

"I was at Walter Reed yesterday. Within 10 minutes I was encircled by about 15 soldiers having problems with their medical discharge, telling me they needed to get in touch with their congressman or their senator," Robinson said. "The system is broke," he said. "We need him (Bush) to be personally affected by it."

White House 'holding back' damning report on Iran

Yeah right. Hullo, America! Here's the very same characters cooking up another war for OIL. As we've said many times, perhaps Bush is NOT incompetent....perhaps everything's gone exactly according to plan.

Except, maybe, his bid for dictatorship, er, #1 Decider status.....He's going to march right into Iran and try for a twofer...Iraq and Iran's oil. Meanwhile, put the rest of the region into turmoil while the oil is vaccummed right outta there!

Now there's this. Oh, and of course it's leaked to Fox News. Hey, the right wing news media elite sure has it sweet these days. They don't even have to work for the story...the White House will gladly give it to them.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A plan by the Bush administration to release detailed and possibly damning specific evidence linking the Iranian government to efforts to destabilize Iraq have been put on hold, U.S. officials told FOX News.

Officials had said a "dossier" against Iran compiled by the U.S. likely would be made public at a press conference this week in Baghdad, and that the evidence would contain specifics including shipping documents, serial numbers, maps and other evidence which officials say would irrefutably link Iran to weapons shipments to Iraq.

Now, U.S. military officials say the decision to go public with the findings has been put on hold for several reasons, including concerns over the reaction from Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad — as well as inevitable follow-up questions that would be raised over what the U.S. should do about it.

FBI raids Curt Weldon's daughter and friend

Who's sorry now?

That would be Karen Weldon and Charlie Sexton, who's homes were raided by Federal agents today. Wow, that's pretty extreme and so very public...kinda like the perp walk. What gives?

Philly.com:
The raids came three days after news broke that the FBI is investigating whether the Delaware County congressman used his influence to help his daughter, a registered lobbyist, win consulting contracts.

At an event earlier today at Philadelphia International Airport to discuss airport noise, Weldon said the investigation is politically motivated - blaming a complaint filed by Melanie Sloan, director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

"She is the only one I know of who went to the Justice Department and asked for an investigation," Weldon said. "I know that because I have her letter."
